Besides Pinellas Park\, the chain will have stores in Tampa\, Brandon\, Clearwater\, St. Petersburg\, Pinellas Park and Lakeland. Its new 500\,000-square-foot warehouse is being built near State Road 544 in Haines City\, and will serve as its Florida headquarters. ALDI Group\, a German-based grocery chain\, is considering opening as many as 100 stores statewide. Privately held ALDI\, which stands for Albrecht Discounts\, sells private-label products. Stores average 17\,000 square feet and charge a 25-cent deposit for shopping carts along with a nominal cost for bags. The chain has nearly 900 locations in 26 states.
